  • Our Day Services are open Monday to Friday 9.30 – 3.30. Trainees can arrive from 9.00 onwards.

  • Yes, up to 2 free taster days or you can choose half days.

  • We charge the day services rate set by Somerset County Council. This is currently £58.40 and is reviewed on 1st April each year. Any activities or visits that trainees are involved in are free (included within the £58.40) so there are no additional costs.

  • The Local Authority (Somerset or Dorset County Council) Adult Social Care teams are responsibility for funding and will carry out an assessment of individuals’ needs.

  • There is currently no waiting list.

  • Yes, and you will be charged half of the day rate. Currently £29.20.

  • Absolutely, a number of our trainees come with a 1:1 support.

  • Unfortunately not, but Somerset County Council do provide this for some trainees.

  • This depends on the activity but generally between 4 and 8.

  • Yes, you can choose what days you want to attend.

  • You can bring your own packed lunch or you can buy something from a subsidised trainee menu which you order and pay for at the café. The current menu will be sent along with the welcome documents, it contains things like hot panini’s, toasties, jacket potatoes, salads and sandwiches etc.

  • No – everything is included in the day rate.

  • We will always encourage you to try something for a few sessions. We timetable a month at a time and we will discuss with you if you are not enjoying something to understand why and give you choices of what else you could do.

  • 18 – 60.

  • We are open throughout the year except for approximately 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year. We will always communicate out the Christmas closure dates well in advance.
