A new skill.
We love giving our trainees new experiences and helping them learn new skills. Today four of our trainees are piloting a six week hairdressing course run by Education Support Services at Langport.
Oh what a night….
Last night the Hub's trainees and families danced the night away at the Halloween Disco. It was a fantastic night and everyone got into the spirit and dressed up. It was spooktacular!!
Thank you!
Last week the Hub received a huge cheque for £1,715 as a result of Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust’s 3 Peak Challenge!!
Out and About…
It may not have been the nicest of weather this week, but that does not stop our trainees putting fuel in our vans and getting out and about!
Football is back!!
The Hub All Stars had their first fixtures today in the Somerset FA Disability Counts League.
Inspecting our work
This morning at Prodigal Bikes it was about running through an inspection sheet and ensuring all the checks were complete.
Music Bingo
The Hub trainees and families were in great voice and had their dancing shoes on as we had our first Music Bingo night. It was a great success.
3 Peaks Challenge
They made it!!!! Connie and Niall from Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust along with Jo completed the Three Peaks Challenge!!!
Dance workshop
We closed our Cafe and Scrapstore this morning and welcomed Jen, Joe and Anna from Also Known As Dance Theatre Company for a dance workshop. We wanted to ensure that our trainees had plenty of space to have fun and try something different.
Helping Others.
We love our Wednesday mornings at Prodigal Bikes , charity supporting charity, with another set of trainees learning a range of new skills over the course of the 8 week visit.
Preparing for the new season…
Some of the Hub's football team had the privilege of training at Huish Park again.
Every day is a GOOD DAY!
Every day is a good day at the Hub! We always ensure our trainees have fun and lots of variety whilst in a safe environment. We want each and everyone to become as independent as possible and to reach their full potential.
Our supporters are amazing..
Looks who’s just popped in…you may remember that earlier this year, Hub supporter Andy Jones undertook a cycle ride and raised over £1600 for the Hub.
What a wonderful community…
Today the community came together for the same goal. Led by Connie from Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust there was a great fundraiser at the Hub for three local charities - The Hub Yeovil, Yeovil Hospital Charity and Mind in Somerset as part of the fundraising activities for the Somerset 3 Peaks Tor to Town challenge being held on the 20th September.
Epilepsy training
Thank you to Northbrook - Training & Consultancy for coming to the Hub last Friday, our staff really enjoyed the training session.
