Simply having a wonderful Christmas time!!
The Hub's trainees, staff , parents/carers etc enjoyed a magical Xmas Disco last Friday. Everyone danced the night away to the beats provided by DJ Alan and his daughter.
Our Xmas Opening times.
Another year has passed....who can believe it....
To our amazing Trainees and Supporters here are our Christmas Closing Times:
Move-a-thon
MASSIVE thanks to our friends at Resolution Interiors !! Last month they undertook Move-a-thon with an aim to run, row and walk 1000 miles in a day. They smashed this by completing 1,300 miles and with this they raised a huge £6,573.90 for the Hub and the same for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Oh Xmas tree…
A big THANK YOU to Yarcombe Woodland Products for donating the beautiful 🌲 in our cafe.
Look at what the elves have made!
The Hub elves 🎅 have been busy making all sorts of Christmas decorations. From a log, twig and a wood slice … to one of a kind Christmas tree 🌲, reindeer 🦌 and a snowman ⛄️.
Our first Loom workshop.
This morning we welcomed back Jade from the Fibreshed The Handloom Room for our first Loom workshop.
Creative writing
We do like trying new things at the Hub and this afternoon we welcomed Alison from flightofthepenna, who shared her passion for calligraphy with one of our groups.
Smile!
Some smiles to finish off the week from yesterdays Eastfields Of Bowers Hill group.
And the beat goes on…
The rain didn’t dampen spirits today as we had our last visit from the The Drum Bus - UK for this year.
Word play by Take Art.
Earlier this year we were lucky to have Liv and the Take Art team here for a number of weeks working with a group of our trainees.
Goldenstones.
This month a different group of trainees are getting to participate in some sessions at Goldenstones. Tina had us mixing dance and movement with weights, we cant wait for next week
Prodigal Bikes.
Yesterday was our last session with Prodigal Bikes for this year. We have had a wonderful time learning to refurbish bikes for this fantastic charity.
One of our favourite places
Our trainees love going out and trying different things. It is also great when we can work with other community organisations.
On our list of favourite places to go is Carymoor Environmental Trust .
