Next time you visit our Cafe or Scrapstore you will be greeted by some amazing work from our Trainees.

…some who have been before, some first timers got to visit Eastfields Of Bowers Hill today

Friend of the Hub, Terry Bennett kindly brought his vintage 1961 Leyland Atlantean open-top bus to the Hub today and two groups of trainees and staff had a fabulous time having a tour around Yeovil.

We just wanted to say a massive 👏THANK YOU 👏 to all our supporters that voted for us in the Tesco Community Grant. The prizes have been announced and we were second and received a fantastic £1,000 to go towards IT equipment to use in our Digital Suite.

A few months ago our trainees in all sessions were tasked with painting sheets of A4 using the ombré technique.

Last month a small group of our trainees got to join in an inclusive pottery workshop at Westlands Yeovil being run by Creative Clay For All .

We are delighted to share that we have received #NationalLottery funding from the National Lottery Community Fund for our project! Thank you to National Lottery players for helping #MakeAmazingHappen.

This morning we welcomed Jade from the Fibreshed The Handloom Room who ran a workshop on understanding natural fibres and what can be achieved with them, from cotton to wool to nettles! The group also then used natural dyes from plants such as chamomile to decorate gift tags.

Today we returned to Hilfield Friary in Dorset, where the group learnt about providing produce for the table…

We have to make the following changes to the Cafe this month…

A group of our trainees were privileged to be invited to an Open Day at the world-famous Glastonbury Festival, just days before it opens to the public. The day was aimed at people who would not normally have the opportunity to go.

A new month and a new group get to visit Eastfield’s of Bower Hill. The first order of the day is to have a look around and if the trainees are feeling comfortable to have a go at riding….

Carly from Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership - SASP visited today to help us focus on our hand eye co-ordination. Our trainees have loved learning this new skill this week.
