Come in, we are now open!
What a journey, what an open day! On July 19th we were joined by some familiar faces (and some new faces) to help us celebrate the first day open to the public at our new premises on Buckland Road, Yeovil.
For the first time in our 10 year history, we are now able to run all of our ventures at the Hub under one roof!
The Hub on Buckland Road is now home to the Cafe and the Scrapstore (formerly the Courtyard Cafe in Yeovil), our trainee workshops, social spaces and a fully fitted commercial kitchen.
Raising money as well as temperatures!
Despite the soaring heat outside, we were able to raise money by selling ice creams, cakes and plenty from our Scrapstore. Our play area proved a success, with families and children enjoying our newly purpose built soft play area.
The new Hub has been designed specifically for it’s purpose as a dual functioning building for both our trainees and the public. Designed by Something Yellow and built by Resolution Interiors, the new building boasts 9000sqft of space to accommodate trainee workshop rooms, warehouse facilities and a new larger commercial kitchen which allows the Hub to continue to grow and evolve. The full set of designs are on show in the Cafe and Scrapstore so you can see what aspirations we have for the space in the future!
The Hub is open from 9.30am til 4.30pm from Monday to Saturday. You can now follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter or sign up to our newsletter to be the first to hear about events and new stock in our Scrapstore.
